What's the session about?

  • The purpose of this session is to develop the critical work and life skill of decision-making  
  • Our aim is to make sure you leave with practical tools to help you get better results
  • You will work through a real-life work decision on the course
  • You’ll leave the course feeling that you can do it, that you’re making progress and feeling brave as a result of being able to explore and experiment in a safe environment

  • It’s an interactive, virtual 3-hour session with an opportunity for you to practice.

What you need to do before you attend

  • Make sure you do the following pre-work- It should take no more than 30 mins
  • Watch our DECIDE BRAVE Principles videos here.
  • Answer these reflective questions on how you currently make decisions:
    • What frustrates you about your decision making?
    • What do you enjoy about your decision making?
    • How do you know when you’re ready to decide?
    • Write down 10 words to describe the patterns and habits of an effective decision maker
    • Write down 10 words to describe the patterns and habits of an ineffective decision maker
    • Where do you see your own decision-making patterns and habits? Write down the words that apply to you 
  • Think about a work-related decision you need to make and have that example ready to use on the session. Ideally, it’s a decision you can make on your own and doesn't involve your team or a wider a group of people
